The purpose of Deep Eutectic Solvent (Later "DES") experimental and research environment is to study the suitability of different DES applications for different raw materials and to investigate the effect of extraction parameters on the separation of the desired product as well as the effect of the parameters of the downstream process steps on the applicability of DES extraction to industrial to scale. The main features of the research environment are: 1. Possibility to prepare DES solvent. 2. Extraction batch volume of at least 100 l. 3. Highest extraction temperature of at least 150 °C. 4. Agitator in the extraction reactor with sufficient torque for DES solvents. 5. High corrosion resistance of components in contact with DES solvents. 6. Separation of solid extraction residue from the extraction liquid. 7. Separation of the extractable product from the DES solvent by precipitation and liquid-liquid separation. 8. Recycling of DES solvent. 9. Recycling of solvents and antisolvents used in the process 10. Fulfillment of EU regulations.
