38000000 Laboratory, optical & precision equipmentDescription
The Marine Institute requires the supply, installation, and commissioning of an automated Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) instrument, including a warranty and service contract covering a period of up to five (5) years from the date of instrument installation. The instrument will be used for the automated clean-up of shellfish extracts using Solid Phase Extraction techniques, including C18 and SPE-COOH ion-exchange cartridges. The resulting extracts will be analysed for marine toxins using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography with Fluorescence Detection (HPLC-FLD), primarily for the determination of regulated Paralytic Shellfish Toxins (PSTs). The proposed system must be capable of delivering reliable, reproducible, and efficient sample preparation to support routine marine biotoxin monitoring and analysis within an accredited laboratory environment.
