Description

This call for tender includes provision of analytical measurements for the characterization of (i) nuclear materials; i.e. the metals uranium, plutonium, and thorium, in any form, according to the IAEA (ii) materials containing environmental radioactivity, i.e. levels and types of radioactivity encountered in the environment and in non-nuclear industry. The activities encountered here are below the Belgian exemption limits The call is divided in 9 lots covering the following analytical techniques: (1) Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry (Total Evaporation) and Isotope Dilution mass Spectrometry (2) Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry measurements of nuclear samples (3) Alpha-particle Spectrometry of nuclear samples (4) Alpha-particle Spectrometry of environmental samples (5) Inductively Coupled Plasma – Mass Spectrometry measurements of environmental samples (6) Gamma-ray Spectrometry (7) Liquid Scintillation Counting (8) X-Ray Fluorescence analysis of environmental samples (9) X-Ray Fluorescence analysis of metallic samples
