The purpose of this call for expression of interest is to establish a pool of experts to support the work of ECHA's Committee for Risk Assessment (RAC) and Committee for Socio-Economic Analysis (SEAC). The pool is established in accordance with Article 87(2) of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH). Interested candidates are invited to submit their application via the webform ONLY - available on ECHA's website: https://echa.europa.eu/open-call-for-pool-of-experts RAC and SEAC provide independent, high-quality and fit-for-purpose scientific opinions under REACH and an increasing number of other EU legislation on chemical safety. In recent years, the volume and complexity of their work have increased significantly, creating a need for additional specialised scientific and technical expertise. Experts included in the pool may potentially be called upon, on a case-by-case basis, to provide targeted scientific or technical input, support Committees' rapporteurs and Committees' working groups, and contribute to the assessment of complex or emerging issues relevant to the Committees' work. This call is addressed to individuals ("natural persons") with relevant scientific, technical or socio-economic expertise who wish to be considered for inclusion in the pool. Experts will be selected "ad personam" based on their professional capacity. The pool is intended to support both the current and future tasks of RAC and SEAC, including work under REACH, CLP, drinking water and other relevant Union legislation within ECHA's remit.
