The procurement requires a forklift that can simultaneously handle pallets of approx. 1,450 kg, have a driving height below 2,000 mm, manoeuvrable in limited space and transport the cargo securely in a 20% inclination. Transport of chemicals also makes mast control particularly important. The contracting authority considers that this combination significantly limits the selection of suitable solutions. The contracting authority plans to enter into a contract with Toyota Material Handling Norway AS, who has offered a temporary forklift system up until the delivery of a new forklift. The intention notice will be published in order to create transparency about the planned agreement and give other tenderers the opportunity to document that they can meet the same needs. If relevant alternatives are present, the contracting authority will reconsider the basis for direct award and execute the competition.
