The Port of Cork Company (PoCC) offices at Tivoli were constructed in the late 1960s, accommodate the operational needs of the Port, including administrative offices. From the outset, the building has functioned as office accommodation for Port-related activities. However, the design and layout reflect the standards and requirements of its time and no longer align with current standards related to workplace functionality, fire safety, accessibility, sustainability, sanitation, or occupational health and safety. The proposed works aim to address these deficiencies through a comprehensive retrofit and upgrade, bringing the facility into full compliance with current building regulations and supporting modern operational requirements.
