REQUEST FOR INFORMATION / MARKET CONSULTATION: Hyperspectral Imaging Cameras Tampereen korkeakoulusäätiö sr (hereinafter referred to as the “Contracting Authority”) is planning a procurement of hyperspectral imaging camera equipment (TAU/4632/2026). This notice is a preliminary market consultation and not a call for tenders or a contract notice. The purpose of this market consultation is to identify suppliers and available solutions on the market and to gather information to support the preparation of the upcoming procurement. The information received may be used to refine the technical requirements and structure of the procurement. Hyperspectral imaging cameras capture data across a large number of narrow spectral bands, enabling detailed material identification based on spectral characteristics. Such systems are applicable in a wide range of research, development, and applied use cases where precise material discrimination is required. The preliminary scope of the procurement includes: - Acquisition of one (1) to three (3) hyperspectral imaging cameras. - Primary interest is in cameras covering the visible, short-wave infrared, and mid-wave infrared spectral ranges. In addition, long-wave infrared solutions may also be considered. - Depending on available solutions, either one (1) camera covering a broad wavelength range, or two (2) or three (3) cameras, each covering a narrower spectral range. - Compatible illumination solutions covering the same spectral ranges as the cameras, with known or calibrated spectral characteristics. The requirements described above are indicative and preliminary. The Contracting Authority is particularly interested in obtaining information on: - Available camera technologies and their technical specifications. - Trade-offs between single wide-range systems and multiple narrower-range systems. - Illumination solutions compatible with hyperspectral imaging and their calibration. - Integration aspects, data handling, and potential system configurations. - Indicative pricing, including any required software with a perpetual license. The estimated value of the planned procurement is EUR 100,000–230,000 for the hyperspectral cameras and supporting illumination solutions. These estimates are preliminary and subject to change. This notice aims to initiate a market dialogue with potential suppliers. Participation in the market consultation is voluntary. Responding or not responding to this request does not affect a supplier’s ability to participate in any future procurement procedure. The information presented in this notice is preliminary and may change during the procurement preparation phase. The Contracting Authority may carry out market dialogue in the form of written submissions and, if deemed necessary, supplier-specific discussions (via Microsoft Teams). No compensation will be paid for participation. All information received will be treated confidentially. The indicative timetable for the procurement process is as follows: - Deadline for responses to this Request for Information: 31 July 2026 - Invitation to tender: September 2026 - Decision: November 2026 - Signing the Agreements: December 2026 The upcoming procurement will take place in compliance with the Directive 2014/24/EU on public procurement and the Finnish Act on Public Procurement and Concession Contracts (1397/2016). An open procedure will be applied. The Request for Information documents are available only in English.
