Description

Technical Assistance Services to support “Green Transition” in Kazakhstan facilitating implementation of specific elements of the 2021 Environmental Code and the new Water Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The project will focus on: (i) support to an alignment of Kazakhstan's Emission Trading System (ETS) with the European Union's ETS framework while minimizing exposure to risks from the EU CBAM policy; (ii) support to development of Best Available Techniques (BAT) Reference Document (BREF) for various industrial technologies; (iii) support the design and implementation of Complex Technological Audit of some Industrial Facilities, and (iv) support a national implementation framework for the Water Code’s content.
