The contracting authority would like to procure a Subsea Distribution Unit (SDU) and jumper for the LoVe project. (See the attached tender documentation for more detailed information. ) This procurement is for an SDU (Subsea Distribution Unit) and a jumper with a lifetime of 20 years. They shall have a depth rate of 1000 m. SDU SDU shall consist of wet-feed receivers for connecting to plug (3 kVAC) and 8-fibre plug on the entrance side. On the output side, SDU shall have 3 wet-feed electrical receivers (230 VAC) and 3 wet-feed optical receivers, of which 2 fibres for each optical receiver. SDU also has a step-down transformer that converts 3 kVAC to 230 VAC. The transformer shall be placed in an oil filled (pressure balanced) house, with redundancy. The installation of SDU shall not depend on jumpers. The contracting authority would like the existing SDU structure to be inspected and reused to the greatest possible degree (see Figure 3). It shall be modified without a loss of lifetime of 20 years, subsequent to approval by the Contracting Authority. Certification of lifting points is required. Jumper The extent of the jumper shall include offshore work with the necessary parts and materials to join the jumper on the cable end at P1 in Figure 1. The offshore work shall be carried out in accordance with agreement with the Contracting Authority. When the SDU is out on the seabed near position P1, the jumper shall be connected to the SDU. The jumper consists of a 4-pin wet-feed electrical connector (3 kVAC plug) and an 8-fibre wet-feed optical connector (plug) (design shown in Figure 2). The jumper shall be attached to the SDU and the hose shall be oil filled and long enough to be connected to the centraldu's receivers. The contracting authority would like the existing jumper structure to be inspected and reused to the greatest possible degree (see Figure 2). It shall be modified without a loss of lifetime of 20 years, subsequent to approval by the Contracting Authority.
