Mary Immaculate College proposes to replace the existing Áras na Phiarsaigh Library with a new build Library and Learning Resource Centre adjacent to the current library. Once completed, most of the existing library will be demolished and a plaza will be developed between the Tara Building, the Quadrangle, and the New Library and Learning Resource Centre. The project will also include the refurbishment of an existing 300 seat lecture theatre annexed to the existing library, which is connected to the Tara Building. Mary Immaculate College wish to procure a Main Contractor for undertaking the Library and Learning Resource Centre project, on their Limerick College campus.
