a review and assessment of the distribution of the Annex I habitat Molinia meadows on calcareous, peaty or clayey-silt-laden soils (Molinion caeruleae) [6410] (hereafter referred to as “Molinia Meadows”) and marsh fritillary (Euphydryas aurinia) within and around the Killarney National Park, Macgillycuddy's Reeks and Caragh River Catchment SAC (000365). This project incorporates an element of desk based review and research followed by field surveys. Landowner engagement will be required to gain access to land. Further engagement should be carried out with landowners who have the target habitat and/or species on their land, to ascertain whether they might be receptive to managing their land in a suitable way, through agri-environmental schemes.
