Description

The “labour market policy (LMP) statistics” project is a data collection developed by the European Commission to monitor the implementation and development of targeted employment policies across the EU. LMP statistics have been used to monitor both active and passive interventions in the labour market and, in particular, relevant areas of the EU employment guidelines. The LMP database contains more than 20 000 interventions reported by EU Member States and Norway since 1997, specifically data on expenditure and participants broken down by various dimensions. The project concerns the overall production of labour market policy (LMP) statistics, i.e. data collection including methodological and harmonisation aspects as well as technical aspects related to the maintenance of the LMP database and LMP application (software) and its use.
